Celebrating Charles Darwin’s Birthday


February 12th 2011 marks the 202nd birthday anniversary of Charles Darwin, famous scientist, naturalist and humanist. Mississauga Freethought Association presents two events on Thursday February 10th to celebrate the occasion.

  1. Join us for a screening of a documentary on The Life of Charles Darwin. Find out the man behind the theory of evolution, and his journey into proposing the same.

  2. Join the Halton-Peel Humanist Community with a public lecture by Dr. Kevin Seymour, ROM Assistant Curator in Vertebrate Palaeontology.
    Dr. Seymour will speak about the growing concern that human activities are driving the extinction of animals all over the world, and implications of the loss of such biodiversity.
    FREE ADMISSION.
